Thoughts from last night:
Schneider looked freaking amazing. 14 points, 8 assists, and 5 steals. He may be an all-CAA defensive player this year. Alex Smith also had an incredible game, 15 points and 6 rebounds. Kisielius scored 15, and also pitched in with 5 assists. However, the team was pretty weak past the front line. Carrabine was on the money, and Sumner was improved, but neither Stein nor Hess brought anything to the court, and the freshman lacked luster.
However, Georgetown is not going to be fun this weekend. We have nobody that can match up with their PF, Patrick Ewing Jr., much less anybody to defend 7 foot 2 inch center Roy Hibbert. Need to contain them somehow, and hope a couple guys go crazy from the field. While the Tribe will not win, it won’t be a complete blowout. 15 points is where I would put the spread. Last year ODU proved that GU can be snuck up on, and hopefully we can give them a scare.
GU: 75
W&M: 62

For Tribe football fans.
Offensive lines didn’t do their job, and had Phillips on the run. Jake ran pretty well, getting 68 yards, but I doubt the gameplan was to give him 12 runs. Not a great day for him passing, probably due to the win. He ended up with 68 yards. Potts came in and was 4/5 with a TD.
Courtland seemed to have a nice game, going for 60 yards on 14 carries. Long of 8, still waiting for him to break the big one. True frosh Terrence Riggins played in his first game, getting 11 yards and a TD.
Where was the pass D? Hofstra QB goes 15/17 for 196 yards and 2 TD’s. Wind didn’t affect him….
Another disappointing game. However, I will gladly take a few under the chin as long as we beat JMU next week. GO TRIBE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too many school related deadlines to meet, however next week I’ll put up a Basketball season preview and a JMU game one.
Sexton is day to day with a back injury.
Mann also has a minor injury.
Matt McFadden is no longer a member of the basketball team.
McCurdy has a brace on his foot.
