In One of the Best Games of the Year, GSU Beats W&M

Wow.
The Tribe played a terrible game today, barely hanging within striking distance. With a minute left, GSU had a 7-point lead and W&M had the ball. Nathan Mann for 3. Good.
After a GSU foul shot, Nathan Mann for 3. Good.
25 seconds left on the clock, and the Tribe fouls with 14 seconds left. No good.
Adam Payton drives to the hole, lays it in, and gets fouled. Good. Tribe up by 1 with 4.7 seconds left.
Leonard Mendez takes it down court, loses control, shoots it up from 30 feet. Good.
While one of the most heart-breaking games I have ever seen, it was also the best game I have ever witnessed. GSU couldn’t miss from 3, going 11/19 with 3 from Mendez and 4 from Ryan McBride.
Adam Payton didn’t want it to be his last game, scoring 19 and going 8/12 from the floor, along with 6 rebounds. Laimis Kisielius added 13 points, Mann had 12, and Alex Smith had 10 more.
While they lose Payton, I think the Tribe will be improved next year. If Sumner can step in and be even comparable to Payton, W&M could compete for a top 5 seed.
