Tribe falls in a close one to VCU, 88-77

Well….didn’t play our best, but still played a pretty good game. We didn’t turn it over too much, but couldn’t really get any rhythm. Too many bad plays and too much bad execution.
AP had a career-game, with 26 points. He also had 4 steals, and was 10-11 from the free throw line.
Laimis Kisielius had a terrible game, his first since Towson. He only scored 7 points, and was 1-10 from the floor.
We kept the turnovers down, at 16. Also had 11 assists, so the numbers weren’t too bad. The real reason we lost though, even though the stats aren’t reflecting it, was the free throw shooting. VCU was 23-27 from the foul stripe in the second half. They were pretty much automatic.
While Schneider was solid shooting, and scored 10 points, his 2-5 from the stripe was very disappointing. Those 2 foul shots he missed when he got fouled from the 3-point stripe hurt us greatly.
Oh well. 10-5, and a sure win is coming against UDel Saturday.
GO TRIBE!
