Basketball Media Guide Released

My highlights:
-Shaver said Payton and Mann will be 2 guards this year and that freshman would play point. This is huge, and means McFadden and/or Schneider are better than I thought. Also said the 2 Freshman were pass-first PG’s, a good sign.
-Ben Wilkens used to coach Barton College, probably why we have them on the schedule as an exhibition.
-Liamis Kisielius’ injury(which caused the boot on his foot at the football game last weekend) was to his achilles’ and he should be ready to roll come practice(this wasn’t in the media guide).
-Some more Barnett info:Was a 3-year letter-winner at Phoebus, was team captain in 03-04. Very smart, being in many clubs, honor societies. Also lettered in track and field and cross country, looks like he is fast. He made the team based on a strong, recent workout. Says his game most resembles Kobe Bryant.
-Hess: McDonald’s all-American nominee. Averaged 16 and 13 points in his Junior and Senior years.
-McFadden: 3 year captain. Averaged 15 and 13 points in his Junior and Senior year in HS.
-Schenieder: Averaged 18 ppg as a Senior. Also lettered in volleyball in high school.
-Sumner: Said his game resembles Tracy McGrady. Incredible picture of him dunking the media guide. Averaged 18 ppg last year.
-Also not in the media guide: Zach Crimmins no longer has W&M on his list. Recruiting page will be updated.
-A non-basketball note: Women’s Soccer, Baseball, and Men’s Soccer games are all delayed until Tuesday.
